It has remarkable orange-scarlet stems and twigs, which last all winter. It’s easy to grow and maintain. It’s perfect for adding colour to the winter garden and looks particularly good when planted in groups. i have very recently purchase two hakuro nishiki salix and have them in pots as I have a very small garden. one of the plants and one has turned brown but when I cut a small amount of the stem it is green. the pots are standing next to each other so Im surprised one is fine and the other not.
